Our Co-founders
Due to the merging of their extensive experience in pregnancy care ministry in Canada and their more recent experience ministering in South Africa, Umoya Project has been birthed.


Terri Mazik.

Terri is currently serving as a missionary in South Africa with Sawubona Project. With 25 years of experience in the charitable sector, she previously served as Executive Director of First Place OPTIONS, a Canadian pregnancy centre, for 16 years. She is also the co-founder of ClearLinQ Training & Coaching and is deeply committed to ensuring women receive compassionate and informative care as they navigate their unintended pregnancy decision empowering them to make informed decisions.
Marlene Caicco.

Marlene brings over 23 years of experience in the non-profit sector and currently serves as a missionary with Sawubona Project in South Africa. Formerly the Client Services Director at First Place OPTIONS, she supported thousands of women navigating complex pregnancy decisions. As co-founder of ClearLinQ Training & Coaching, she is passionate about equipping others to offer compassionate, clear, and effective support to anyone facing an unintended pregnancy.
